Ocean Winds said in its BC-Wind update that the first monopiles for the offshore wind farm had arrived at Świnoujście Offshore Terminal, marking the start of logistical preparations to install foundations in the Baltic Sea. The company said Polish port infrastructure had not previously handled a delivery of this type of foundation.
ORLEN said in its terminal announcement on June 10, 2025, that its ORLEN Neptun unit had launched the facility and signed its first long-term terminal contract with Ocean Winds. ORLEN said the terminal will receive, store and initially prepare foundations before they are transported to the installation site. It said the terminal will also load components onto specialised installation vessels. ORLEN said local contractors would provide cargo handling and port services.
ecoekonomia.pl reported that Szczecin-based Dynpap will handle monopiles and transition pieces and support their unloading and loading. Ecoekonomia.pl said Modrzewie-based Team Project will prepare the terminal ground for unloading foundation structures, then maintain and repair its surface during subsequent transport work.
The outlet reported that foundation installation is planned to begin in the first half of 2027. Ecoekonomia.pl said BC-Wind plans to install 27 monopiles: 26 for wind turbines and one for an offshore substation.
